In December 2008 we almost lost our beautiful red girl, Remy, to a serious case of closed
pyometra. The most disappointing part of it was she was 6 weeks pregnant at the time.
Thankfully we managed to save Remy without the need to desex her.
We will hopefully try breeding with her again soon.
However, at the time of this disaster, we were faced with the possibility of losing the lines
that we love so much ("Vaska"- Ch Paharey Ccooler Atcidaq and "Kwella" - Gr Ch Niltaran Baskin Neumnik WPD). The only other entire bitch we own is Meeka and she is 9 years old
(not that you would know!). Never in a million years would we have considered breeding
with her if we weren't in this position. It was actually our vet (one of the top reproduction
specialists in Victoria) that suggested it. After a lengthy discussion and lots of thinking we
decided to have her thoroughly checked over to see if she was still fit enough to carry a litter.
Meeka had a "full body function profile" blood test done and an ultrasound to make sure she was healthy. The blood test results were perfect and Meeka passed the vet check with flying colours.
So that's it! On Monday 23rd February 2009, Meeka gave birth to 5 strong and healthy puppies.
We have 4 boys and 1 girl. They are all various shades of grey and were born weighing
between 475-520 grams.
The proud father of this litter is the lovely "Billy" (Qannik Sno Luck) owned and bred by
Linda Hewat & Stewart Cumming.

Well, these gorgeous little bundles of fluff have now found their forever homes
and are settling in well with their new families.
Boy 2 - now known as "Knuti".
This cheeky but sweet little boy
has now found his forever home and
will be very much loved by Ed & Sue.
Boy 1 - now known as "Brock".
This beautiful little boy was supposed to live a long and happy life with Yasemin White and her partner Rob. At 18 months of age Brock was rescued by us from the Wangaratta RSPCA - he had been surrendered there. So now Brock will live his life here with us and the rest of the Tanome gang - where he really belongs!
Boy 3 - now known as "Kenny".
This sweet boy has made the trip to Sydney and
is very much loved by Gary & Kathryn and their
three boys.
Boy 4 - now known as "Alvin".
This precious little bundle of fluff is now enjoying
life being spoilt rotten by Louise & Ron
and their children Brianna & Lachlan.
The Girl - now known as "Millie" or "Fluff-bucket".
As this cheeky little girl was the only one
in the litter, she will be staying here with us.
(Spoilt rotten of course!!)
